Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s mid-season finale is on the horizon (which looks like it’ll be a big one, considering tonight’s particularly significant revelations), and while I loathe having to wait so many months to find out the repercussions of whatever cliffhanger is in store, I am comforted that I’ll be entertained in the interim by a certain ass-kicking WWII vet in high heels.
Agent Carter‘s second season premieres just after the New Year on Tuesday, January 5 at 9pm. Kicking things off with a two-hour premiere, Agent Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) will take her espionage skills to Los Angeles for “her most dangerous assignment yet.”
The official synopsis:
Dedicated to the fight against new atomic age threats in the wake of World War II, Peggy must now journey from New York City to Los Angeles for her most dangerous assignment yet. But even as she discovers new friends, a new home — and perhaps even a new love — she’s about to find out that the bright lights of the post-war Hollywood mask a more sinister threat to everyone she is sworn to protect.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say, at some point this season, there’ll be a nuke involved. What else would spies be worried about in the years after World War II?
After Agent Carter wraps up its run, Phil Coulson will retake the 9pm slot when Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns on March 8, 2016.
