They say bald is beautiful, and as far as live-action comic book character adaptations go, so is this.
As the April 10th premiere of Marvel’s and Netflix’s Daredevil draws closer, we’ve received our first (good) look at Vincent D’Onofrio (Men in Black, Full Metal Jacket) as Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin, the series’ chief baddie. Previously, he was briefly glimpsed from behind in the show’s teaser trailer, but now we see him in all his obese, folically-challenged glory. Check out the two photos below!
Daredevil’s arch-nemesis made his debut in 1967’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” #50, and had been previously portrayed by John Rhys-Davies in the TV movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk, and by the late Michael Clarke Duncan in 2003’s Daredevil film. Honorable mention to Roscoe Lee Browne’s iconic voice emanating from the character in the 1990s Spider-Man animated series.
Starring Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin), and produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios, with executive producers Steven S. DeKnight (Spartacus), Jeph Loeb (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Drew Goddard (The Cabin in the Woods), the entire 13-episode season will be made available upon release on April 10th wherever Netflix is available.
