She’s the best. There’s no other way to say it. Voice Director Andrea Romano has been doing her job so well over the last 30 years, there likely isn’t a DC Comics fan out there who reads a book and doesn’t hear the voice of one of her casting choices in their head.
Her latest contribution to the DC Animated Universe is Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, the long-overdue spotlight feature for Aquaman. Based loosly on the comic arc of the same title, Atlantis explores the origins of The King Of The Seven Seas as he learns of his heritage and joins up with the heroes of the JLA.
At New York Comic Con, we had the chance to talk with Andrea about casting this latest feature, what perils may befall a voice director when the desired actors aren’t available, and what her stance is on adopting her loyal fans.
