“They’re coming for you, Barbara!”
While at PAXEast, I had the pleasure of demoing this gem of a game. It was so much damned fun that I busted out some cash and requested, nay, demanded my very own shiny new set of Zombie Dice. That’s when I was told that all the preview copies sold out within a half hour of the convention opening and that the game should be out by May. It has been a long two months but May is here, and so are the zombies!
Zombie Dice is considered a press your luck dice game. The object of the game is to accumulate as many brains as you can before you roll three shotgun blasts. That’s it. Its simplicity is what really makes this game shine. It can be learned within one round and there is no real way to get a skill advantage. It’s all about testing your luck and trying not to get too greedy.
The game is best played with more than two people, but you can still play of there are only two if you. The game runs about ten to fifteen minutes so it is perfect for those pickup and go situations. Tek and I were recently at a BBQ where I busted this out for everyone. It was an instant hit. The best part was that we left the dice cup on the table. To start up a game all someone had to do was pick up the cup and shake it and we all were ready to jump back in. Thanks to the games simplicity it won’t interrupt any other activities going on.
The whole kit and caboodle goes for $13.13 and it is worth every penny. Buy it and stick in your bag. Not having Zombie Dice on hand at any sort of game night or party is akin to not having pants. It’s just that important.
