NYCC 2014: James Tucker On Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

The actors may change. The directors may change. But there is one man who’s name you’ll find on nearly every project to come out of the DC Animated Universe since Batman: The Animated Series. No, it’s not Bruce Timm, it’s James Tucker.

Having done everything from character design to storyboards, James has moved to the role of producer in recent years, filling the role of Supervising Producer on many of the DCAU’s movies, including Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, the long-overdue spotlight feature for Aquaman. Based loosly on the comic arc of the same title, Atlantis explores the origins of The King Of The Seven Seas as he learns of his heritage and joins up with the heroes of the JLA.

At New York Comic Con, we had the chance to talk with James about finally bringing Aquaman to the forefront, and translating the Throne of Atlantis arc from page to screen.

Rob is excited to be contributing to The Fridge. With one finger on the pulse of Marvel/DC and another on that of Hollywood's superhero franchises, no multi-issue arc or casting rumor is too small to report. When Rob opens The Fridge, the light inside shines green!
