NYCC 2014: Matt Lanter Talks Justice League: Throne of Atlantis

The latest animated movie in the long-running series from DC Home Entertainment brings one of the Justice League’s greatest, yet least appreciated characters to the forefront. Absent from Justice League: War, Arthur Curry, better known as Aquaman, gets top billing in next year’s Justice League: Throne of Atlantis. Based loosly on the comic arc of the same title, Atlantis explores the origins of The King Of The Seven Seas as he learns of his heritage and joins up with the heroes of the JLA.

Actor Matt Lanter, best known for giving Star Wars fans the Anakin Skywalker they deserved in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, lends his voice to Aquaman in Atlantis, traveling to a darker place than one might imagine for “the guy who talks to fish.” We had the chance to talk with Matt about the role, and what we can expect from this film and potential appearances in the future.

Check out the interview below!

Also featuring the voices of Sean Astin, Rosario Dawson, Jerry O’Connell, Sam Witwer, and Nathan Fillion, Justice League: Throne of Atlantis will be available on January 27th, 2015 on Blu-ray, DVD, and via direct download.

Rob is excited to be contributing to The Fridge. With one finger on the pulse of Marvel/DC and another on that of Hollywood's superhero franchises, no multi-issue arc or casting rumor is too small to report. When Rob opens The Fridge, the light inside shines green!
