New York Comic-Con attendees were treated to a special guest appearance this year. If you took a spin by the Midtown Comics booth, the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. himself, Nick Fury, was there to keep his one good eye on you.
No, Samuel L. Jackson wasn’t manning booth, but rather, Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in conjunction with Midtown Comics unveiled their latest addition to the Marvel Heroes collection with their Nick Fury wax statue. I won’t lie: this statue was chillingly lifelike. I swear Director Fury’s eye followed me each time I walked by.
We got a chance to talk with Carly Sampson from Madame Tussauds New York and Gerry Gladston from Midtown Comics about the amazing statue and what it takes to make a wax doppleganger. Check out the video to see what they had to say!
If you missed Director Fury at NYCC, fret not. You can see Nick Fury along with Thor, Cap, Hulk, and other heroes at Madame Tussauds NYC located in Times Square!
