‘Streets of Rage Remake’ Finally Available for Download!

Do you remember the days of 16-bit beat-’em-ups? Do you long for a simpler time when turkeys came out of oil barrels and dumpsters and would magically give you full health? Does the phrase “BARE KNUCKLE” make you feel all warm inside? If so, then do I have some news for you: Streets of Rage Remake is finally finished and available for mass nostalgia download!

Not borrowing a single piece of code from SEGA’s original design, the team at Bombergames.net created the remake of the Genesis side scroller from scratch, over a grueling eight years.  The work of love features 19 playable characters (from SoR 1-3, each with new moves), 103 stages (both remastered and new), eight endings, 40 cutscenes, and all kinds of great new content (Boss Rush mode, Battle mode, Volleyball mode, and more!)

See their blog for all the details about this incredible undertaking.  (Seriously, there are so many new features, you have to check the list to believe it.)

Download Streets of Rage Remake here (218 MB) and bask in its warm, glowing warming glow.
