NYCC 2010: So A Bionic Commando, A Pantsless Knight, A Master of Magnetism, and a Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing Walk Into a Game…

Get over here!

We keepers of the Fridge have returned to our respective headquarters, and we have plenty of New York Comic Con news to share!

First up, Capcom announced another four new characters that will be playable in the upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3:  Nathan Spencer (Bionic Commando), Sir Arthur (Ghosts ‘n’ Goblins), Magneto, and – brace yourself – M.O.D.O.K.

The big question: how many hits until the armor comes off?

Yes, you will be able to play as the self-conscious, giant-headed Mental Organism Designed Only for Killing, M.O.D.O.K.  I cannot say I was expecting that one at all, but I can say that it excites me when a game of this calibur can surprise even a jaded gamer like me.

While this officially nixes that rumored full roster, a lot of the names have indeed come up, like Spencer, Arthur, and Magneto, so I’m not discounting it entirely yet.

Sean, Tek, and I had a chance to play the long-awaited game; stay tuned for our hands-on impressions!  For now, though, hit the jump for gameplay videos of Arthur and Spencer!

Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is slated for release in Spring 2011 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
