In a flurry of excitement (at least for me,) Ubisoft has released details of upcoming DLC for its retro beat-’em-up, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game. Clocking in at a measly $2, the content will add Knives Chau to the fray, and add a slew of welcome new features to the side scroller.
Players have been taunted with the blank spot in the character list, and, with this content, Knives Chau will fill the list [17 years old, rating: statutory.] Packing an explosive sai, the young ninja, according to Destructoid, has “the most flair and outlandishness of any of the characters.”
The DLC will also add drop-in/drop-out capability to co-op play, two new gameplay modes — Battle Royale, a free-for-all versus mode, and a Dodge Ball mode — and a difficulty-balancing patch.
Ubisoft has stated that there are no further plans for downloadable content (which, admittedly, doesn’t surprise me), but I know I’m certainly hoping for more. Like adding Wallace Wells as a playable character. Seriously.
