Award-Winning Author Richard Morgan to Pen “Crysis 2”

The award-winning author of science-fiction novels Altered Carbon and Broken Angels has been tapped by EA and Crytek to pen the story for Crysis 2.

Moving the player from the lush jungles of its predecessor to the cold stone and steel of New York City, Crysis 2 pits the players against a frightening alien species hell-bent on your destruction.

Morgan, a self-proclaimed video game addict, seeks to challenge “the potential for exciting and emotionally charged storytelling” by giving life to the war-torn city and its gritty inhabitants.

No release date has been announced yet, but the game will be available on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. Additionally, the game will likely, like its predecessor, require you to upgrade the crap out of your PC.
