For those out there with a PSP, there are far few games out there of particular note; nothing that can satisfy our gaming urges. On June 8th, Hideo Kojima‘s final most recent entry into his much-loved Metal Gear franchise may finally give PSP gamers just what they need to keep those thumbs amused.
Originally dubbed as Metal Gear Solid 5, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, as announced at last year’s E3, continues the story of Big Boss, filling in the gaps that I wasn’t even aware existed between the incredible Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and the well-received Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.
A co-op adventure (a first the series), up to four players will be able to connect their PSPs via ad-hoc networking and work together to discover what shadowed group is the mastermind behind the military activity in the non-militarized nation of Costa Rica. More importantly, will they have a name as utterly ludicrous as the La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo?
We’ll find out on June 8th, when we can grab the game or the special Peace Walker PSP-3000 bundle (and not a PSPGo bundle, interestingly) in North America.
