New Modern Warfare 2 Maps Set to Cure Your Mapathy

Mapathy.  A terrible condition that has been discovered in growing numbers since late November 2009.  Now, the illness has turned into an outright pandemic, reportedly affecting nearly 25 million people.  You may not even realize you’ve been suffering from it.  But then, suddenly, you find yourself hitting “vote to skip” because “c’mon, guys, Favela, again?”

Infinity Ward seems to have your cure.

Not allowing their recent management shake-up to keep them from doing what they do best, Infinity Ward is set to launch its first new map pack for its record-breaking Modern Warfare 2 on March 30, 2009.  The website, mapathy.com, announces rather clearly that the new content will only be available on Xbox Live.  PS3 and PC owners, it seems, will have to wait for the exclusivity agreement to end, as no specific date for the platforms has been announced.  (Game Focus is citing a 30-day exclusivity deal, but a tweet from Robert Bowling was non-committal as to release.)

No word on pricing or specific content, but we’ll keep you informed.
