At GDC last night, Capcom spilled the beans on the final new character to grace the upcoming Super Street Fighter IV. Bringing the the total character list to a rather uneven 29, Hakan is the second brand new character to be introduced in the game (the first being the Korean, Juri, announced a few months ago.)
Hakan (pictured above) is a Turkish wrestler that just lurves to get all hot and oily for you:
“In the history of Street Fighter, there’s always been a lot of wacky and unusual characters,” Super Street Fighter IV producer Yoshinori Ono told us. “We settled on Turkish wrestling because these guys literally douse themselves in oil, grappling with each other. It’s such a unique and relatively unknown fighting style.”
I think I speak for everyone when I say, “Ew.”
Super Street Fighter IV hits the streets on April 27 for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. Until then, you’ll just have to watch regular Turkish wrestling for your oily delights.
